Call for papers

The organizers of the “First Conference of Lower Limb Sports and Surgical Medicine” in Athens Greece on September 28 and 29, 2011, invite the submission of abstracts that complement this year’s theme, “From Consultation to Competition”. The invitation is extended to all students, researchers and practitioners, and we encourage submissions for free papers as well as single session symposium presentations and workshops.

Free papers will be presented on both days, and should not be more than 8 minutes long with 2 minutes for questions. Single session presentations should be between 30-35 minutes, allowing 5 to 10 minutes for questions. Workshops, depending on the content, will be limited to 20-25 participants, and depending on demand, may be replicated. All accepted abstract submissions will be included in the conference DVD. The maximum number of delegates is limited to 180, and there is potential for real-time on-line broadcast of the presentation.

Guidelines for Submission:

  • Must be in MS format
  • No longer than 400 words (free papers / workshops) or 800 words (lectures)
  • There is a clear and concise title
  • Free Paper and Workshop submissions must contain no images or graphs
  • Must be submitted in English
  • Asics Australia has donated $1000.00 AUD for the best free paper. This will be judged by the conference organizers as well as a selection of presenters. To be eligible for the prize the successful entrant will have to be registered for the two day program. Successful single session symposium presenters will receive complementary registration for both days, attendance to the conference dinner and Acropolis Museum tour, and one night’s accommodation. Workshop presenters will receive complementary registration for both days, attendance to conference dinner and Acropolis Museum tour.
